More than 4,000 tickets snapped up

Tickets to see British pop legends Madness at Fratton Park on June 6, as part of the the band’s 2015 ‘Grandslam’ UK tour, have sold at a faster rate on the first day than any other venue.

The tour, which runs from May to September, will take in 19 shows at some of the greatest sporting venues around the country, including racecourses, cricket grounds, rugby and football stadiums.

Pompey chief executive Mark Catlin saidd: “The number of tickets sold has totally exceeded our expectations of what we would sell on the first day.

“The demand to watch Madness at Fratton Park has been simply incredible and we are urging Pompey fans to get their tickets booked now to avoid disappointment.”

Gates open at 4pm, with performance time approximately 8.45pm.

General admission is £35. A family ticket – with limited availability – for two adults and two children aged up to 16 can be bought for £99.
