Striker interviewed in Burton programme
Pompey sit 17th in the League Two table ahead of this weekend’s clash with Burton.
But Matt Tubbs is certainly not content with settling for mid-table mediocrity.
The new arrival is primed to make his home bow against a Brewers side looking comfortable in second place.
And Tubbs believes the Blues should also be targeting a push for promotion.
“It’s such a tight league,” he says in the official matchday magazine for Saturday’s clash with Burton at Fratton Park. “I saw in the first half of the season that anyone can beat anyone in League Two.
“That does mean that it can be a tough division to get out of, but from what I’ve seen so far, I feel we can climb a lot higher.
“I’ve signed a two-and-a-half-year deal here and during that time I want to be celebrating promotions.
“I’ve been lucky enough to have a few of them in my career and there’s no better feeling.”
