Celebrations for members club

The Pompey Lottery is celebrating its first birthday – and what a year it has been!

Conceived last spring to raise funds for the Blues academy, giving fans the chance to win cash prizes as well as unique money-can’t-buy experiences, the Pompey Lottery has been an enormous success.

More than 2,000 people have joined the exclusive members club and the number is growing all the time, making it one of the most successful club schemes in the country.

Lottery administrator Bridget Barnes said: “The success of the Pompey Lottery has just blown me away.

“I never realised quite how passionate Pompey fans were about their club and the fact so many have got involved is a tremendous credit to their loyalty.”

Among the highlights include fan Tim Rawding winning the first experience prize when he took part in a team photo and Dave Sargent donating his £10 winnings to buy two tickets for a couple of youngsters.

Jackpot winners include Chad Bichard, Jeffrey Price, Barry King and Robert Phillips, who have won nearly £10,000 between them.

Over the past year our lottery winners have been drawn by a range of Pompey personalities, including chief executive Mark Catlin, receptionist Debbie Knight, Pompey in the Community chief executive Clare Martin ladies chairman Dave Coyle.
