2015/16 POMPEY TEAM PHOTO

22 September 2015

HMS Victory the location for this season's snap

The Pompey squad failed to let a bit of rain stop them from posing for the 2015/16 team photo.

In a call-back to the 2000/01 campaign – when Tony Pulis was in charge of the Blues – the snap was taken in front of the iconic HMS Victory at the city’s Historic Dockyard.

The first team players were joined by manager Paul Cook, his back-room team and chairman Iain McInnes for this season’s picture.

A selection of supporters also paid for the privilege of being included in their own personal photograph.

And despite the rain – which grew steadily harder as the afternoon progressed – they seemed to enjoy the experience.

That included a tour of HMS Victory, best known as Lord Nelson’s flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, a tour of the training ground and lunch with the players.
