All you need to know about League Two clash
There will be plenty of familiar faces returning to Fratton Park when Barnet visit this weekend.
Bees boss Martin Allen had a spell playing for Pompey in the mid-1990s and later took charge of the reserve team.
His assistant Gary Waddock ended last season as the Blues’ caretaker manager, having originally been brought in as Andy Awford’s assistant.
Meanwhile, defender Bondz N’Gala and striker John Akinde have both spent time on the south coast in recent campaigns.
Pompey will be looking to preserve their unbeaten record in the first ever league meeting between the two sides.
Barnet won the Conference Premier title last term, but currently sit 21st in the table and have yet to collect a point on the road.
TEAM NEWS
Brian Murphy is a doubt after being substituted at half-time against Accrington because of a groin injury, while Jack Whatmough (knee) is still sidelined.
Paul Cook has said that he will make changes and already confirmed that Conor Chaplin will make his first league start of the season.
Barnet will be without goalkeeper Graham Stack (calf) and strikers Shaun Batt and Kevin Lisbie (hamstring).
