Wayne Eastman hit the jackpot when he found out he had won £2,750 in the Pompey Lottery jackpot draw last month.
He’s been a member of the Pompey Lottery since July 2015 and joined as his way to help raise funds for the academy, which is a vital part of the future of the club.
Wayne was overcome with joy when he got the call from lottery administrator Bridget Barnes to let him know he had won the jackpot and knew immediately what he would spend his winnings on – decorating and furnishing his new home.
Wayne has very kindly provided us with a few words to help support the lottery’s fundraising campaign for the Pompey Academy.
He said: “The Pompey Lottery is a great thing to get involved in as it helps build a foundation for the young players to step up into the first team squad and push our great club forward.
“This could be the difference in finding the next Conor Chaplin or not. For as little as £2 a week you too could also have a week-changing call and receive a great cash prize. Blue Army!”
The Pompey Lottery is open to all fans over the age of 16 and costs just £2 a week to join.
