Adam Barton is deployed as an emergency centre-back for Pompey at AFC Wimbledon this evening.
He replaces the injured Matt Clarke (groin) in one of three changes from the side that beat Wycombe at the weekend.
Marc McNulty (hamstring) makes way for Michael Smith up front, while Ben Davies drops to the bench, with Kieron Freeman coming in at right-back.
Kyle Bennett (ankle), Conor Chaplin (groin), Ryan Fulton (thigh), Adam Webster (ankle), Jack Whatmough (back) and Conor Wilkinson (groin) are all out for the Blues.
Teenage academy graduates Ben Close, Brandon Haunstup, Adam May and Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain are all named among the substitutes.
