ACCESSIBLE PARKING UPDATE

5 August 2016

Information for Pompey fans

Pompey have announced some modifications to the car parking policy for the new season to help increase accessible parking spaces.

The club have 26 accessible spaces that are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

We are looking to manage other spaces in the car park more effectively to provide additional accessible spaces.

The club are also warning that they will check up on fans wishing to use blue badges to prove their entitlement.

Head of inclusion Colin Farmery said: “We have had isolated cases where the blue badge system has been abused, so we have asked car parking stewards to check eligibility carefully this season.

“We want to make Fratton Park as accessible as possible for disabled supporters and we hope the new arrangements will contribute to this.

“Stewards have been told to manage the allocation of disabled spaces flexibly to allow, as far as the club are able, ease of access to the disabled entrance in the north-west corner of the ground.”
