2008 triumph revisited in Saturday's programme

Pompey enjoy a rich history in the FA Cup.

The most successful side on the south coast have lifted the trophy twice – in 1939 and 2008.

And we look back at that latter triumph in the official matchday magazine for Saturday’s fourth round clash with Bournemouth.

From David Nugent’s winner at Portman Road to the moment when Sol went up to lift the FA Cup, we chart the full journey – with plenty of fantastic photos to help the memories come flooding back.

Also in issue 20, Darren Anderton recalls the Blues’ heroic run to the last four back in 1992 and those semi-final clashes with Liverpool.

Marc McNulty dishes the dirt on his team-mates and Gary Roberts selects his ultimate five-a-side outfit.

We take an in-depth look at the Premier League visitors before delving into the archives to take a walk down memory lane.

There are also exclusive columns from chairman Iain McInnes, manager Paul Cook and skipper Michael Doyle.

All this and much, much more in a packed 84 pages is available for just £3 and can be bought from programme sellers around Fratton Park.
