IPSWICH v POMPEY: BETTING PREVIEW

7 January 2016

Back the Blues with Sky Bet

Pompey put their promotion hopes to one side as they look to cause an Emirates FA Cup shock at Ipswich this weekend.

The Championship side are 17/20 favourites with Sky Bet to book their place in the fourth round.

But the Blues have already beaten a side from that level this season and can be backed at 16/5 to do it again, with the draw at 13/5.

They have triumphed 1-0 on each of their last two cup visits to Portman Road and a repeat of that scoreline is on offer at 10/1.

Marc McNulty leads the first goalscorer market at 8/1, with Conor Chaplin, Gareth Evans and Adam Webster following at 17/2, 10/1 and 50/1 respectively.

Pompey went on to lift the trophy after knocking out Ipswich in the third round in 2008 and they are a massive 5,000/1 to do the same again.

A more realistic punter might, however, fancy the 40/1 on them being the Football League side to progress furthest in the competition.
