Doyle, Burgess and Evans start cup clash
Michael Doyle returns to Pompey’s midfield for tonight’s Emirates FA Cup third round replay against Ipswich.
The skipper was rested for the original tie at Portman Road 10 days ago.
He replaces the injured Danny Hollands in one of three changes from the side that drew 2-2 against their Championship opponents.
Christian Burgess has recovered from an ankle injury to take his place at the back, with Adam Barton moving into midfield.
There is also a start for League Two Player of the Month Gareth Evans, with Adam McGurk and Ben Close dropping to the bench.
