All you need to know about pre-season clash

Pompey continue their preparations for the 2016/17 campaign by making the short trip to Westleigh Park this evening (7pm kick-off).

Paul Cook’s side take on a Havant & Waterlooville outfit who were relegated from the National League South last term.

They will now compete in the Isthmian Premier Division alongside the likes of Bognor Regis, Canvey Island and Metropolitan Police.

The Hawks have Pompey youth products Harry Medway, Bradley Tarbuck and Ryan Woodford in their squad and are managed by ex-Blues striker Lee Bradbury.

Pompey have already played two summer friendlies during their trip to Ireland, while their opponents won 3-1 at Moneyfields on Saturday.

Read what Carl Baker has to say about Pompey’s first pre-season friendly in England.

Bradbury told The News: “We always relish the chance to test ourselves against full-time professional players.

“Against Moneyfields we had 70 per cent of the possession and it was a useful loosener. Against Portsmouth I am expecting that situation will be reversed.”

Pompey PlayerHD subscribers can listen to live online commentary from Westleigh Park from 6.30pm tonight.

We’ll also have match updates on Twitter and the Pompey Wall.

There will be post-match reaction on the website, Pompey PlayerHD and our official YouTube channel, with highlights to follow on Thursday.

Local listeners can hear commentary on Express FM (online commentary only available on Pompey PlayerHD), while The News will also have extensive coverage.

Tickets can be bought at Westleigh Park this evening and are priced £10 for adults, and £5 for seniors (65+) and juniors (under 16).
