Reaction to EFL Trophy changes
At the recent EFL summer conference, plans were revealed to include 16 category one Premier League academy/under-21 sides in the 2016/17 EFL Trophy.
Portsmouth Football Club argued strongly against these proposals and voted accordingly.
However, a majority of League One and League Two clubs voted in a favour of the pilot scheme.
Portsmouth Football Club are disappointed with the outcome, but we are part of a democratic organisation and accept that our views will not always be shared by others.
