All you need to know about League Two clash
Pompey and Mansfield will both be searching for a change of fortunes when they meet at the One Call Stadium this weekend.Paul Cook’s side were left stunned by a 3-0 defeat at home to Newport last Saturday to halt their promotion charge.
The Stags, meanwhile, have dropped out of the play-off picture after suffering three successive losses.
Newport, Bristol Rovers and Yeovil all achieved 1-0 triumphs over Adam Murray’s men to leave them five points adrift of the top seven in 11th spot.
Mansfield currently have a perfectly symmetrical home record, with six victories, six draws and six defeats.
But they have only ever beaten the Blues once – and that Division Three triumph arrived all the way back in 1977.
Matt Tubbs and Jed Wallace were on target when Pompey won 2-1 at Mansfield at the end of last season.
But the sides played out a largely chanceless goalless draw on the south coast earlier in the current campaign.
TEAM NEWS
Gary Roberts serves a one-match ban following his red card at Newport, while Kieron Freeman (knee) and Brian Murphy (calf) are both out.
Mansfield could hand a debut to striker Emmanuel Dieseruvwe following his arrival on loan from Chesterfield, but Adi Yussuf is banned.
