Championship opponents for Blues

Pompey have added a friendly with Bristol City to their pre-season schedule.

Paul Cook’s side will travel to Ashton Gate to face the Championship outfit on Saturday, July 30 (3pm kick-off).

It will be the first time the sides have met since a goalless second tier draw on the south coast in March 2012.

Bristol City – who finished 18th last term – are managed by Lee Johnson and their squad includes Blues academy graduate Marlon Pack.

Pompey have already announced away friendlies against Havant & Waterlooville on Wednesday, July 13 (7pm kick-off), Sutton on Saturday, July 16 (3pm kick-off), Salisbury on Tuesday, July 19 (7pm kick-off) and Bognor on Wednesday, July 27 (7.15pm kick-off).

The League Two campaign will get underway on Saturday, August 6.
