Vote for Pompey midfielder

Gary Roberts has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet League Two September Goal of the Month award.

The midfielder was nominated for his superb effort in the 5-1 rout of Barnet at Fratton Park.

His quick feet left Michael Nelson on a heap on the turf and that was followed by a powerful finish into the net.

Fans can click here to vote for Roberts – who is up against Yeovil’s Colin Daniel and Accrington’s Paddy Lacey.

The shortlist was decided by a judging panel following suggestion from supporters on Twitter.

The panel includes Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, Sky Bet sponsorship manager David Tweet and EFL commercial marketing manager James Walker.

To suggest a goal to be considered for future Sky Bet Goal of the Month awards, fans can tweet details of their nominated strike to @SkyBet using #SkyBetGotM.

Voting closes on Tuesday, October 11.
