WYCOMBE AT HOME IN FA CUP

17 October 2016

Fellow League Two side to visit Fratton

Pompey have been drawn at home to Wycombe in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup.

The tie will be played at Fratton Park on the weekend of November 5-6.

The sides have already clashed on the south coast this season, with the Blues triumphing 4-2 in September's League Two fixture.

Pompey have won three of their previous eight meetings, with Wanderers triumphing on just one occasion.

But this will be the first time that the sides have faced off in the FA Cup.

Paul Cook's side made it as far as the fourth round last season, seeing off Macclesfield, Accrington and Ipswich before being knocked out by Bournemouth.

Wycombe beat Halifax and Millwall, and then bowed out against Aston Villa in a third round replay.
