After recently celebrating its second birthday, we profile Pompey in the Community's Life and Chimes dementia group.
The group, supported by L&S Waste Management, aims to provide an outlet for dementia sufferers and their families/carers, as well as for socially isolated people.
Catering for people within the south/south-east catchment area, the group takes on all manner of indoor and outdoor pursuits, including arts and crafts, museum visits, cooking, coffee mornings, a cinema club and much more.
The group meets 10am-12pm every Wednesday morning, and – despite their growth – they are still encouraging new members.
