Cherries to visit Fratton in pre-season
Pompey will host fellow south coast side Bournemouth in a pre-season friendly this summer.
Former Blues defender Eddie Howe will bring his Premier League outfit to Fratton Park on Saturday, July 22 (3pm kick-off).
The sides also met last July in Alan McLoughlin’s benefit match, with Gary Roberts, Michael Smith and Adam May on target in an entertaining 3-3 draw.
Ticket details for this fixture will be announced in due course.
There have also been a number of changes to the rest of Pompey’s pre-season schedule.
The visit to Havant & Waterlooville has been brought forward to Saturday, July 8 (3pm kick-off).
Games at Salisbury (July 1) and Bognor (brought forward to July 18) are now Pompey XI fixtures. The Salisbury friendly will involve three periods of 30 minutes.
