Pompey could also win several other prizes
Christian Burgess has been shortlisted for the PFA Player in the Community prize at this year’s EFL Awards.
The Pompey defender is up against Doncaster’s Andy Butler and Brighton’s Liam Rosenior, with the winner announced at the London event on Sunday, April 9.
Burgess can regularly be seen at local community events and received national plaudits back in January after volunteering to help coach an under-12s side when the Blues’ match at Crawley was postponed.
The club will also be hoping for success in several other categories at the EFL Awards.
Pompey have already been named the Checkatrade Community Club of the Year for the South-West and Wales region, and will now compete with Brighton, Burton, Fulham, Rotherham and Wigan for the national prize.
And Michael Doyle is on a 10-man shortlist for the Mitre Goal of the Year award. You can help him make the final five by clicking here, with voting closing on March 28.
David Forde, Enda Stevens and Christian Burgess were all recently selected in the Football Manager Team of the Season for League Two.
On the night you can see if any of them make the overall Team of the Season for all three EFL divisions.
