Title party on the Common

Fans flocked to greet their heroes on Southsea Common following Saturday's dramatic turn of events that saw the Blues crowned League Two champions.

Directors, staff and dignitaries were first introduced to the crowd, while there were interviews on stage with Mark Catlin, Iain McInnes and Paul Cook.

The players were then introduced one at a time to collect their well-earned medals.

Some were clearly more worse for wear than others and Kyle Bennett drew plenty of laughter as he cartwheeled onto the stage before pretending to steal the chairman's wallet.

There was a huge roar when skipper Michael Doyle lifted the League Two trophy that had been driven down on Sunday morning.

The 2016/17 campaign has provided Pompey fans with plenty of days to remember – and this one certainly deserves to join the list.
