Eleven Changes For Gunners Clash

Team news for Checkatrade Trophy tie

4 December 2018

Kenny Jackett has changed his entire starting 11 for tonight’s Checkatrade Trophy clash with Arsenal U21s at Fratton Park.

There are senior debuts for Matt Casey in the centre of defence and academy midfielder Freddie Read.

Brett Pitman returns to skipper the side up front, flanked by Andre Green and Louis Dennis, with Adam May also featuring after returning from a loan spell with Aldershot.

Joe Mason is the only senior player named on the bench, with several youth team players in line to make their senior Blues bow if required.

Former France international centre-back Laurent Koscielny is named in an otherwise youthful line-up for Arsenal.

Pompey: McGee; Walkes, Burgess, Casey, Haunstrup; May, Rose, Read; Green, B.Pitman (c), Dennis
Subs: L.Pitman, Mnoga, Johnston, Flint, Smith, Maloney, Mason
