Katie James has played a crucial part in Pompey Women’s side this season.

After back-to-back losses, the Blues will look to round off 2018 in positive fashion as Oxford and QPR both visit the PMC Stadium in the space of seven days.

And James is positive that they can return to winning ways following the cup exit to AFC Wimbledon last week.

Speaking in the programme for the National League South contests, she said: “We're all excited to have two home fixtures before Christmas.

“Our last game at the PMC Stadium was a convincing one and we want to continue that form.”

Defeat last time out means that Pompey now remain in just the Hampshire Cup and the PDFA Cup and James said: “As a team last time out against Wimbledon, I don't think we managed to find our passing game.

“We were very disappointed with our level of performance, but we are all keen to get back on home soil and put on a performance that we know we are capable of.”

Also in issue seven, Jazz Younger reveals her firsts and lasts, whilst there are the usual round-ups from chairman Eric Coleborn and Blues boss Jay Sadler.

The bumper-size 44-page packed magazine is available for just £1 ahead of Sunday’s match, which kicks-off at 2pm.
