Gareth Evans has been nominated for the PFA Bristol Street Motors League One Player of the Month award for November.
The midfielder – who has worn the captain’s armband for much of the season – played a pivotal role for Pompey, netting crucial goals in away wins at Bradford and Scunthorpe.
He has been shortlisted alongside Charlton’s Joe Aribo, Gillingham’s Tom Eaves, Wycombe’s Joe Jacobson, Luton’s Elliot Lee and Sunderland’s Aiden McGeady.
Evans will be looking to follow in the footsteps of Jamal Lowe, who won the August prize after finishing top of a public poll.
