Generous Sponsors Sending Young Blues To France

26 February 2018

Young Pompey players will get a chance to compete against top European sides thanks to the generosity of sponsors.

The club’s under-10 and under-11 teams will be heading to France to compete in the Trophee De L’entente at Easter.

Milkwood Care are the Main Shirt Sponsor, with Warner Goodman LLP the Back of Shirt Sponsor.

Lucketts Travel are Official Travel Partner, while Unity Wealth Management and Hepworth & Crockford Electrical Services are also kindly sponsoring the trip.

The tournaments – one for each age group – will also feature clubs such as Freiburg, Metz, Nancy and Wolves.

Hugh Lewis, Pompey’s foundation phase lead coach, said: “The academy have had a long break from competing with clubs from all over Europe in foreign tournaments.

"We are excited that our under-10 and under-11 players will have the opportunity to test themselves against very good opposition."
