Pompey Academy defender Harvey Rew has been called up to the Wales under-16 squad.
The 15-year-old from Gosport – who attends Brune Park School – has been chosen to take part in a UEFA Development Tournament.
He will travel to Greece for matches against Russia, Slovakia and the host nation next week.
Pompey’s head of academy performance and recruitment Dave Wright said: “We’re proud of Harvey’s achievements and hopefully he does well.
“Gaining international recognition is all part of the development process and it can only benefit him in the long-term.”
