How well do you know Pompey?
Do you know your Robert Prosinecki from your Johnny Ertl? Know which naval establishment Gunwharf Quays was built on? Or who scored the winning goal in Pompey’s victory over Barnsley in August 1992?*
If the answer to any of those is yes, then you might just have what it takes to win The Great Pompey Quiz and walk away with four Fratton Park hospitality tickets – as well as those all-important bragging rights.
Teams can have a maximum of four people (over 16s only) and for just £5 per person, we will be testing your knowledge on all things Pompey – from the most successful goalkeeper to everything that is unique about Southsea.
And even if you are not getting every questing right, there is still plenty more than first place up for grabs. Spot prizes will be given away to lucky winners, while a host of Blues goodies are up for grabs in the raffle.
The event will be a great testament to how knowledgeable and proud Pompey fans are of their club and city.
But it will also help support Pompey in the Community (PitC), the charity that ensured the EFL Community Club of the Year award for 2017 headed to the south coast.
All proceeds from ticket sales and the raffle will support more than 50 projects they run around the city and its surrounding areas. Ranging from tots football for those as young as three to the centenarians who attend the Wheels for All cycling programme, PitC offer something for everyone.
If you think you have got what it takes, The Great Pompey Quiz will take place in the Victory Lounge at Fratton Park on Friday, February 16. Doors and the bar open from 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Tickets for the quiz must be booked in advance and can be bought online here.
It costs £5 per person, with tickets also available for £12 that include a burger and chips.
*Of course you all knew the answer to that question is Guy Whittingham!
