Bradley Signs For Pompey Women

Midfielder to appear against Poole

25 July 2018

Pompey Women are delighted to announce the signing of Jade Bradley from Queens Park Rangers Women.

The central midfielder arrived ahead of tonight’s pre-season test against Poole and went straight into the starting line-up.

She progressed through the ranks at Reading after joining them at the age of eight and making her first team debut while only 16.

Most of her time was the Royals was spent with the development side or the under-21s and she endured a nine-month spell on the sidelines last term.

Bradley moved to QPR back in January and was on the bench against Pompey at Fratton Park on the final day of the season.

She said: “I’m delighted to have joined Portsmouth FC Women. From the first chat I had with Jay, I felt his passion and ambition for the coming season.

“This was reiterated after my first session, as the effort put in by all coaching staff and players was very impressive.

"I believe this professional and positive environment will aid the progression of me as an individual."

“All the girls have been very welcoming and are putting in a big shift over pre-season to be more than ready for the start of the new campaign.

“I believe this professional and positive environment will aid the progression of me as an individual, as well as the team collectively.”

Blues boss Jay Sadler added: “This is a great signing for our club. Jade is a player who has been on our radar for a while now, having competed against us on several occasions last season.

“I believe she will complement our current midfielders’ qualities, which we need. Her creative brain and passing vision will give us an extra dimension in attack, and her physical presence and energy will aid us also.

“As well as these attributes, I was really impressed with her level of professionalism and positive mentality when we first spoke.

“I am very happy to have secured her signature and I believe our players know how important she can be in our team.”

As well as being in action tonight, you can watch Jade when Cheltenham visit Baffins Milton Rovers’ ground to face the Blues on Sunday (2pm kick-off).
