Armed Forces Supporters' Club

23 November 2018

Pompey are looking to add an Armed Forces Supporters’ Club to their 21 existing official fan groups.

The clubs have an excellent relationship with the Pompey Pals project and have taken part in the ‘Tickets for Troops’ scheme for several years, donating tickets to several matches each season to current members of the Armed Forces, as well as veterans.

The new supporter group would be open to all serving and former members of the Armed Forces, who are also Pompey fans. It would run along the same lines as all other associations, acting as an independent body and with the same privileges.

It is hoped that this will build on the relationship we already have, while giving members an additional voice and also becoming part of the Tony Goodall Fans’ Conference.

"The club would welcome the chance to actively work with armed forces members on a regular basis."

Johnny Moore

Supporter liaison officer Johnny Moore: “As with all supporter clubs, much will depend on the level of interest shown to determine how to move forward.

“But the club would welcome the chance to actively work with armed forces members on a regular basis on club issues affecting service personnel.”
