Ronan Curtis has been called up to the Republic of Ireland under-21 squad.
It means that the in-form forward will miss Pompey’s next League One match against Shrewsbury, as well as Tuesday’s Checkatrade Trophy clash with Gillingham.
Curtis has been rewarded for a scintillating start to the season, with the summer signing having already notched five goals for the Blues.
Now he is part of the Ireland group that travel to Kosovo (September 7) and host Germany (September 11) in qualifiers for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
