Charity to run new cooking initiatives

Pompey in the Community (PitC) are delighted to announce that they have partnered with Domino’s Pizza – the UK’s leading pizza delivery company.

They have many stores located across the southern region, including Portsmouth South, Waterlooville, Cowplain, Fareham, Stubbington and Alverstoke and have agreed to be official kitchen partner for the PitC centre for the 2018/19 campaign.

The charitable arm of the football club will be looking to run innovative and inventive cookery initiatives throughout the year, enabling people to get involved within the specially designed kitchen facility located on Anson Road.

Adam Lea, PitC’s head of commercial and marketing, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Domino’s Pizza Portsmouth. The company have shown so much passion for what we do as a community department that this just made perfect sense.

“We are so excited by what we can achieve together in the future and the plans that are in the pipeline will help promote our educational kitchen facility, as well as give us the opportunity to create some bespoke sessions that will benefit the wider community as a whole.”

“The wide range of programmes the charity provides to members of the public is incredibly impressive and we hope to use our brand to expand on this even further via the new kitchen facility.

“We have a real passion for working in all of our stores’ local communities and teamed with our sponsorship of Portsmouth Football Club, this makes it the perfect partnership for us.”

PitC will be giving their kitchen space a makeover in the next couple of weeks with Domino’s branding. The facility houses eight fully functioning workstations and has been in use for the past 12 months, providing an educational site for children and adults to learn and develop their culinary skills in a safe environment.”

Pompey in the Community is the official charity of Portsmouth Football Club. The organisation uses the motivational power of football to help, educate and support individuals throughout the city of Portsmouth and surrounding areas.

Based in Anson Road, the PitC facility houses five computer suite classrooms and one education kitchen facility for people of all ages to access.
