Pompey paid a visit to the University of Portsmouth Freshers’ Fayre to encourage new students to join the Blue Army.
A three-year contact was signed at Fratton Park back in May for the university to become Main Club Partner.
The aim of the link-up was to increase participation rates in higher education in those areas of the city where football has an emotional connection with its citizens.
Pompey are providing students with invaluable work experience, internship and placement opportunities in different departments at the club.
Visitors to the Freshers’ Fayre were able to buy tickets for Saturday’s clash with Wycombe for just £5, encouraging those who have recently moved to Portsmouth to sample the electric atmosphere.

The hope is that the Blue Army will continue to grow and students will attend more matches in the future.
Pompey commercial director Anna Mitchell said: “It’s great for the club to have a presence at the University of Portsmouth Freshers’ Fayre and showcase what we have to offer to new students.
“The Blue Army is constantly growing and we love the support we get on a matchday from local uni students.”
