Portsmouth Football Club have a vacancy for a part-time goalkeeping coach, working exclusively within its academy.
The role will be based at our training ground in Portsmouth, but will require travel to a variety of venues in and around the city to conduct two, two-hour training sessions per week.
Additionally, one match is also to be covered weekly and this may be played locally or further afield. A clean driving licence is a necessity, while a D1 category is desirable.
We require the successful candidate to have a UEFA ‘B’ Goalkeeping Licence as an absolute minimum qualification. Computer literacy is a necessity. We also require the FA youth award and there is a strong preference for the successful candidate to hold, or be working towards gaining, the qualification of the Advanced Youth Award.
Experience of working in a coaching capacity in professional football and with young adolescents is desirable.
The club welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates, particularly those with a Black, Asian, Minority or Ethnic (BAME) background.
To apply, please submit a CV no longer than two pages of A4 and a one-page cover letter, explaining why you wish to be considered for this role, to our Head of Academy Coaching at firstname.lastname@example.org
The closing date for applications is October 1. Applications from candidates who do not have the required experience or qualifications will not be considered, nor will those received from third parties.
It is expected that we will receive a large number of applications. Therefore, if you have not been contacted to arrange an interview by October 10, you will have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
Please note that any offer of employment is subject to a satisfactory DBS clearance being received.
