Pompey will discover their next Carabao Cup opponents when the second round draw takes place tomorrow evening (August 13).
It will be broadcast by Sky Sports from Salford’s Peninsula Stadium, following the League Two club’s tie against Leeds.
Kenny Jackett’s side were the first team to book their place in the next stage, beating Championship outfit Birmingham 3-0 at Fratton Park last week.
The draw will feature the 13 Premier League clubs not competing in European competitions, including the likes of Everton, Leicester and West Ham.
The remaining seven top-flight sides – Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester United and Wolves – enter the competition in the third round.
Tuesday’s draw will be regionalised into north and south sections, with fixtures scheduled to take place in the week commencing August 26.
