Pompey Women begin their League Cup campaign when they take on Watford in the Determining Round on Sunday.
The winners of the PMC Stadium tie – which kicks-off at 2pm – will continue in the competition, while the losers drop into the National League Plate.
And the match also provides a chance for the Blues to gain revenge on their opponents for last weekend’s defeat.
The sides met for the league opener on the south coast just seven days earlier and a Helen Ward double earned the points for the visitors.
Attention now switches to the cup and Pompey will be aiming to go further than they managed last term.
They were beaten 4-2 by Chichester on home soil at the same stage and after beating Poole in the Plate, got knocked out by Keynsham.
Watford, meanwhile, made it through to the second round of the National League Cup before losing at home to Coventry.
So come along to the PMC Stadium (PO3 5LY) on Sunday to see if Pompey can sting the Hornets and begin a cup run.
Tickets can be bought on the gate, priced £5 for adults and £2 for concessions (U18/63+), with a programme also available for £2.
