Pompey Women kick-off their National League campaign against Watford at the PMC Stadium on Sunday.
The fixture – which kicks-off at 2pm – is a third home contest out of four undertaken by the Blues in August.
And they meet again at the same venue just seven days later, this time in the determining round of the League Cup.
Pre-season ended with a 2-0 loss against Coupe de France finalists Lille and then a storming 5-1 victory against Crystal Palace to provide plenty of confidence ahead of the serious action.
Opponents Watford finished 2018/19 in fifth position and with 40 points – 12 more than Pompey collected.
Both of last season’s meetings provided supporters with plenty of thrills and also some superb football.
The south coast fixture saw the Blues beaten 4-2 in a high-tempo encounter, while the reverse contest was even more of a spectacle.
A late goal from Katie James looked to have seen them rescue a point after battling back from a 4-1 deficit.
But Helen Ward found the target with the final kick off the game to send a heartbroken Pompey home empty-handed.
Now you can see if they can gain some revenge when the league season gets started on the south coast.
Tickets are priced £5 for adults and £2 for concessions (U18/63+) and can be purchased on the gates, with a programme also available for £2.
