Utilita Energy have come on board as the official Fratton End sponsor in a new deal which will see them back the Blues as a Club Partner until the end of the 2021/2022 season, with exclusive naming rights to arguably Fratton Park’s most iconic stand.
This is on top of the already fantastic relationship between the two businesses which has been built upon Utilita Energy being the official Front of Shirt sponsor of the Pompey Academy and official Back of Shirt sponsor to the Portsmouth FC Women’s team.
Utilita’s customer base has almost quadrupled in the past four years, with around 750,000 homes and 20,000 businesses now powered by one of the UK’s fastest-growing energy suppliers.
During that time, Utilita has partnered with more than 20 football clubs, while also supplying energy to a number of iconic stadia, including Ibrox, Selhurst Park and Villa Park, to become an established and recognisable brand within the British game.
Pompey commercial director Anna Mitchell commented: “The commitment shown by Utilita Energy to support the club across both the Academy and Women’s team is fantastic, therefore the opportunity to expand on this and incorporate the Fratton End is very exciting and a relationship we look forward to continuing.”

Utilita’s director of marketing and communications Jem Maidment said: “The Fratton End is synonymous among football fans around the world as being a raucous, passionate cathedral of noise – for Utilita to be powering the stand for the next three seasons is something that we are very proud of.
"As a company with origins in the same county, we are delighted to be backing a local club who put the community at the forefront and on top of our continued backing of Pompey Academy, we will be supporting Portsmouth FC Women – continuing our commitment to powering British football for all.”
Utilita has been leading the way in the smart meter revolution. It installed Britain’s first-ever smart meter back in 2008 and 90 per cent of its customers currently have one – the highest percentage of any UK supplier.
