Pompey were left in mourning when the news came through on Tuesday about the sad death of John Jenkins MBE.
The club stalwart packed plenty into his 100 years, including taking part in the Normandy landings in 1944 and then playing a key role in the commemorations for the 75th anniversary of D-Day last summer.
So it is only fitting that Jenkins graces the front of the official matchday magazine for Saturday’s League One match against Ipswich.
