Pompey Women are delighted to announce the signing of Jade Widdows from Chichester City.
The striker links up with former team-mate Alex Collighan at the PMC Stadium following her move from the fellow National League outfit.
Widdows turned out for her former side against the Blues twice this term – and was on the winning team on both occasions.
She has netted twice in 11 appearances for Pompey’s neighbours this season and is pleased to make the switch.
Widdows said: “Joining Portsmouth is a great opportunity for me to develop and grow as a player.
“I feel very privileged to be joining a wonderfully talented team of like-minded young women full of so much potential and being guided by such a positive, knowledgeable and inspirational manager.
"Joining Portsmouth is a great opportunity for me to develop and grow as a player."
“I’m looking forward to building strong connections with everyone and doing my best for the team for the remainder of the season.”
Blues boss Jay Sadler added: “I’m delighted to be able to welcome Jade to Pompey. She is an exceptionally talented striker who will bring a different dynamic to our front-line.
“I’ve been a big admirer of hers for some time now. Her energy, tenacity, and technical qualities suit this club’s ethos – both on and off the pitch – and I’m certain she will contribute straight away.
“A lot of players see a good culture at Pompey and a way of working to bring out the best. We aim to develop them as players, as well as individuals.
“With perseverance, I believe that Jade has all the qualities required to be a top player here.”
