A limited number of spaces have become available to join Pompey in the Community’s BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (football education programme) in partnership with Highbury College.

The two-year course is suitable for male and female students over the age of 16 who have a keen interest in developing an insight into the opportunities within the sports industry.

Based at the Pompey Study Centre – with elements at Fratton Park and Highbury College – participants will study in purpose-built classrooms and facilities, creating a perfect learning environment to thrive within.

Alongside academic studies, students will train and play on a weekly basis, representing Pompey against other professional clubs in competitive fixtures, adding to the uniqueness of the course.

National and international trips are also an integral part of the course and Pompey in the Community provide opportunities for participants to visit world-famous club stadia and high-profile organisations.

Students also get the chance to train and play abroad each year, with recent trips to Holland and the USA. These are optional, but provide opportunities for students to engage and learn from.

Pompey in the Community are extremely passionate about enhancing students’ employability skills, which is why they have access to work experience at the charity.

More information is set to be released about how you can secure your place on one of these fantastic courses.

To be the first to hear about upcoming trial dates, you can register your interest by clicking here or by emailing btec@pompeyitc.org.uk
