Louis Dennis has been nominated for the Checkatrade Trophy Player of the Round award.
The midfielder produced a fine display in Pompey’s third round victory over Southend at Roots Hall last week.
He opened his account with a header after just 93 seconds and then teed-up Gareth Evans to ensure the Blues would reach the quarter-finals.
Dennis has been shortlisted alongside Jayden Braaf from Manchester City U21s, Peterborough’s Siriki Dembele, Oxford’s Simon Eastwood and Bury’s Dom Telford.
