Pompey Women will look to make it back-to-back victories when C&K Basildon visit the PMC Stadium this afternoon (2pm kick-off).
Their opponents are one of two teams without a league win this season, with the other being a QPR side who were beaten 1-0 by the Blues last weekend.
A heavy defeat to Cardiff in their last encounter sees the Essex outfit currently sitting at the foot of the National League table, with just two points to their name.
Last season’s promotion challengers had a large overhaul of both players and staff during the summer, after losing out on the title to Charlton.
Pompey inflicted a heavy 6-0 defeat on them on the opening day of the campaign, with Daisy McLachlan’s hat-trick, adding to Hannah Geer’s brace and a Shannon Albuery strike.
The latter made a welcome return to the club earlier this week in a loan deal from Super League side Yeovil.
Blues boss Jay Sadler handed debuts to Hannah Haughton and Becki Bath against QPR and both are likely to feature once again, but Mel Burns and Geer remain sidelined.
