Blues will face fellow League One side in quarter-finals

10 January 2019

Checkatrade Trophy

Pompey have been drawn at home to fellow League One side Peterborough in the quarter-finals of the Checkatrade Trophy.

The tie will be played at Fratton Park in the week beginning January 21.

Pompey have already seen off Arsenal U21s and Southend after finishing top of their group, while Posh battled from behind to beat Chelsea's youngsters at Stamford Bridge in the last 16.

Oli Hawkins and Jamal Lowe were on target when the Blues secured a 2-1 league victory away at Peterborough back in September.

Steve Evans' side are currently sitting seventh in the table and lost 2-0 on their most recent visit to Fratton Park on the final day of last season.

A confirmed date for the fixture and ticket information will be announced in due course.

Checkatrade Trophy quarter-finals
POMPEY v Peterborough United
Bristol Rovers v Port Vale
Sunderland v Manchester City U21
Bury v Oxford United
