Pompey have signed midfielder Andy Cannon from Rochdale for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old has penned a two-and-a-half-year deal at Fratton Park, with the club holding an option for a further 12 months.
Cannon has featured for Rochdale in both the FA Cup and Checkatrade Trophy this season, so will not be able to appear for the Blues until the league match against Blackpool on January 12.
Blues boss Kenny Jackett said: “I see Andy as an attacking midfielder and feel he will be a good addition to our squad. I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Cannon is a graduate of Rochdale’s youth system who made his debut in a victory over Leyton Orient back in September 2014.
He scored six goals in 127 appearances for the Spotland outfit and came off the bench in their league and FA Cup defeats to Pompey earlier in the season.
