Portsmouth Football Club would like to apologise for a series of ticketing problems that have occurred in recent weeks.
These issues, which led to operational complications inside the stadium on Saturday, have been identified and we are working hard to resolve them.
Supporters have also raised valid points regarding the process surrounding the sale of high-profile away fixtures.
These concern the policy of who gets priority when selling tickets (eg, whether there should be a ballot).
We will continue to work with the Tony Goodall Fans’ Conference – the supporters’ club umbrella organisation – on ensuring the fairest policy for these high-demand matches.
Operations meetings have already taken place internally and with our ticketing partner Ticketmaster to discuss recent issues and how we can avoid a repeat.
In addition to the scheduled Tony Goodall Fans’ Conference meeting on Saturday, we will also be speaking to the Heritage & Advisory Board and Pompey Supporters’ Trust.
As always, we thank you for your continued support and would once again like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
