28 January 2019

Emirates FA Cup

Pompey or QPR have been drawn at home to Watford in the fifth round of the Emirates FA Cup.

The winners of the Loftus Road replay will welcome Premier League opposition to their ground on the weekend of February 15-18.

Watford – who currently sit seventh in the top-flight standings – have already triumphed on the road at Woking and Newcastle to reach this stage of the competition.

They last visited Fratton Park for a Championship clash in January 2012, when goals from Marko Futacs and Hayden Mullins secured a 2-0 victory for the Blues.

The teams have met on 51 previous occasions, but if Pompey progress, it will be the first time that they have ever faced the Hornets in the FA Cup.

Blues boss Kenny Jackett spent his entire playing career at Watford, scoring 34 goals in 428 appearances.
