A youthful Pompey XI side will travel to Aldershot for a friendly on Tuesday evening (7.30pm kick-off).
Goalkeeper Alex Bass and centre-back Matt Casey are the only first team players on display at the Recreation Ground.
Third year scholars Joe Hancott and Leon Maloney will also feature against the fellow Hampshire outfit.
The rest of the team for the pre-season encounter will be made up of members of Mark Kelly’s academy side.
Aldershot finished in the bottom four of the National League last term, but received a reprieve from relegation because of Gateshead’s financial issues.
They appointed Danny Searle as manager in May following the departure of former Pompey caretaker boss Gary Waddock.
Tickets for the game can be bought at the ground, priced £10 for adults, and £5 for seniors (65+) and those aged 21 and under.
Pompey fans have been allocated the South Stand and are advised to enter through turnstiles 11 and 12.
