Match Preview: Plymouth v Pompey Women

Blues on the road this weekend

16 March 2019

Pompey Women

Pompey Women are back on the road this weekend as they travel to Home Park to face Plymouth in the National League.

And they will look to make it back-to-back victories, having returned to winning ways in their most recent outing.

Jay Sadler’s side are trying to build on a convincing 4-0 victory over MK Dons at the PMC Stadium last Sunday.

Jade Widdows opened her Blues account on her full debut, with Katie James, Rachel Panting and Alex Collighan – who scored within seconds of coming off the bench – also finding the target.

Plymouth were promoted from the National League South West division last season and currently sit seventh in the standings.

They are one place above Pompey, who will be looking to bridge the six-point gap that separates the sides.

The visitors will also look to avenge the 3-0 defeat they suffered when the teams met in Hampshire back in October.

You can see if they manage that in Devon on Sunday (2pm kick-off). Entry is priced £5 for adults and £3 for concessions, with free admission for under 18s.
