Gareth Evans returns to skipper the Pompey side in the final regular game of the season against Accrington today.
He replaces Brett Pitman in one of five changes from the side narrowly beaten by Peterborough earlier in the week.
Oli Hawkins starts up front, while there are also places for Anton Walkes at right-back, Bryn Morris in midfield and Viv Solomon-Otabor out wide.
Pitman, James Vaughan, Ronan Curtis and Nathan Thompson all drop to the bench, while Jamal Lowe misses out completely.
