Kevin Gaskell is the guest speaker for the next Network Pompey Business Club lunch at Fratton Park on Thursday, June 13.
Appointed managing director of Porsche GB at the age of 32, his team rebuilt the brand in five years, turning a business close to bankruptcy into the UK’s most profitable car company.
Kevin then moved to BMW as UK managing director and led them to four years of record growth and a 500 per cent increase in profitability. As a result, he was recognised as one of the ‘top 40 leaders’ in the country.
He left to create a dotcom – epyx Limited. Quickly becoming the market leader for automotive e-commerce, the company was sold to an institutional investor and is now a global enterprise.
In parallel to this, Kevin was also CEO of EurotaxGlass’s in Switzerland, where his team integrated 30 businesses to create a world leader in electronic automotive data before a €500 million sale of the company.
Now he acts as chairman to a number of growing companies – many of which he has founded. One of them was recognised as having the UK’s best private equity investment performance of the year.
Today, alongside his international speaking schedule, he chairs three businesses and is very familiar with issues SMEs are facing.
Kevin will provide his thoughts on the business landscape, leadership and also reveal details about his Ocean5 project, where he and four others will put their bodies, minds and souls to the ultimate test by taking on one of the world’s greatest physical challenges – rowing unaided for 3,000 miles across the unforgiving Atlantic Ocean.
Join other like-minded businesses at Fratton Park to enjoy a buffet lunch, get an exclusive update from Pompey personnel and hear a 20-minute guest talk from Kevin.
Hosted by the Blues’ business club partner Network My Club, the networking event takes place between 12pm and 2.30pm on Thursday, June 13. You can secure one of the last few spaces here.
